we have a HERTER'S BULL COOK KNIFE. the style is nearly identical to that knife shown in their 1976 catalog (page 303). this is how this knife differs; this blade length is 5 1/4 inch, the '76 is 4 inches. this has 3 brass rivets in the handle; the '76 has 2 brass rivets and a hole.
will guess the hole is a later devise which would make this knife prior to '76. (correct me if you like). over all length is 10 1/4 inches. Herter's says in the front of their catalog if they could not make a better product they would not make one..
they started their business in 1893, do not know their current status. knife comes with an inexpensive survival sheath; no stone.
