PAPER HISTORY BROUGHT TO YOU BY: LOT DESCRIPTION: This lot is for a real photo postcard showing a wonderful view of small group of school children in the Fall of 1908, probably near w the card was mailed from, Hibbetts, Ohio. The card was mailed to a teacher at Magnolia, OH from a little girl named Leslie. Her messages identifies the teacher in the photo as Margret Yost. Image shows a forty five star flag and a sign which reads: September (very timely to list it now). The image shows seven students who surely attend a one room school house along with different examples of produce, corn, apples, and some carrots? One boy holds a pair of small binoculars or opera glasses. Great real photo Americana image. RPPC, school students, children, small school. Hibbets is located in Carroll County near the communities of: Stemple, Carrollton, Malvern, Minerva, Mechanicstown, Waynesburg and Southeast of Canton and Massillon. Other towns in Carroll County are listed at the bottom of the page. Condition: Fair, corner and edge wear, light diagonal bend lower, writing impressions from message show through to front when card is held to the light just right.
