HIGH PERFORMANCE "HACKER GP.42" VALVE RECORD PLAYER

In its day this was the Rolls Royce of record players - the Hacker GP42 'Gondolier' circa 1968/69.

This Hacker is in good working order and has been tested for many hours over several weeks. I was planning to keep it for myself but now have decided to part with it.

It has superb sound, infact quite certainly the best 1960s record player I have ever heard. There are separate knobs for volume, treble and bass and the control panel lights up when the record player is switched on. Fantastic sound with excellent bass and enormous volume!!!

The Garrard autochanger is working correctly dropping the records as it should. It plays at 33, 45 and 78rpm (16rpm manually) and will load up to six records of average thickness and will accept all sizes (7, 10 or 12 inch).

I have oiled the motor and lubricated the mechanics for future reliability.

I have fitted a new stylus to the stereo Acos cartridge (GP96).

I have checked that the mains plug has the correct 3 amp fuse.

The cabinet is in very good condition and is clean throughout. There are some age related marks to the lid that you can't really see on the photos but nothing nasty, as I say for its age it is in very good shape and very clean.
