These two duck's appear to be some sort of shakers with no plugs. They are signed Singing River Original on the bottoms and are hand-painted ceramic pottery. Singing River Originals were done by Josie Gautier of Mississippi who lived from 1899-1992 and did ceramics way into her 80's. Some of her pottery work is found in Museums along the gulf coast such as Ohr-O'Keefe Musuem in Biloxi and The New Orleans Museum of Art. Also, a fun note Josie and her husband helped with the state song of Mississippi or that is what I read in a document about her and her pottery. The two ducks appear to be male and female and would have been something that she had seen here locally in southern Mississippi. Her work is highly collectible and sought after so here is your chance to get a piece of it. Each duck is about: 2 3/4" long 1 3/4" wide about 2" high Please refer to all pictures and ask questions if you need to because these are the exact items we are selling. Thank you in advance.
