This beautiful hatband was made by my son who is currently in Deer Lodge, Montana State Prison. He is a young man who has made his mistakes, but wants a better life. Making horse hair items is his only way to save money for college. The work in this hatband is very intricate. The pictures can not do justice to this beautiful work of art. Take a look at my feed back to see how much people are amazed at his work. Many people don't know the process of hitching horse hair. The hair is taken from the horse tail [without harming the horse]. The hair is then separated cleaned and some is dyed. My son then uses a process of tying half hitch knots. Using open or closed knots determines the pattern. This process is very time consuming. The resulting product is one of a kind. My son has sold quite a few hatbands on Ebay, with the buyers more than satisfied. I have kept in contact with some buyers, and they always want to be notified when a new hatband is listed. My son just got out, and brought home a few hatbands for me to list. This will be the last chance to get one. I would like to thank the people who bought his hatbands, and the wonderful email I have recieved. Thank You for Looking!
