Since 1961, I have been a circus model builder, circus historian, and collector of circus and carnival memorabilia, including posters, programs, route books, and photographs. I have decided to sell many of my circus and carnival-related items to others who might enjoy them as much as I have. This will be an ongoing process, so please look for other circus items on eBay. THIS IS A 7 - DAY AUCTION!!! You are bidding on one (1) HO gauge flat car lettered and numbered as #52 for the Clyde Beatty Circus (CBC) with one (1) tractor and four (4) scratch-built HO gauge CBC circus wagons which are each hand-lettered with the Beatty show title on both sides of the wagons representing the style of lettering used in the early 1950's. The Warren-style 70' scale flat car has Kadee #5 couplers , end-mounted uncoupling rods, plastic freight trucks , corner steps , grab irons , and authentic wood plank-style decking and wooden top decking to protect the sub deck from damage by wagon/truck traffic during the loading and unloading process . Flat car #52 is 10" long , is constructed from a Simmons wood kit, and is painted in prototypical silver with show title hand-lettered in red on both sides.
