Horror Host Dr Shock Blobfest T shirt sold out

I am offering for sale the last of a limited run of 20 T-shirts featuring the Philadelphia horror host Dr. Shock. The T-shirts were sold at Blobfest in Phoenixville PA and this is the last one of the run. The size is X LARGE. The design of the T-shirt was done by portrait artist Frank Garofolo based upon an original iron on given to me by a family member of Dr. Shockâe(tm)s. The shirt is an original JERZEES 50 percent cotton and 50 percent polyester. It is a high quality shirt.

Who is Dr. Shock? Dr. Shock is or was a television horror host. He hosted horror movies on WPHL-TV, Channel 17 in Philadelphia , PA. He was on the air from 1970 until his untimely death in 1979. His real name was Joseph Zawislak, and he was a professional stage magician who went under a variety of names over the years including Dr. Alkey and Dr. Shock. Joe was a big fan of horror host Roland who ruled the airwaves on Channel 10 in Philadelphia in 1957 and 1958. Played by John Zacherle, the host inspired Joe and when the time came for a new series and a new host, Joe eagerly took up the cause.
