Houdini's Conjuror's Monthly Magazine Set First Edition (1991) of Richard Kaufman's glorious bound collection of Houdini's groundbreaking periodical that ran from September 1906 to August 1908. Edition size limited to 500. All issues are compiled, reproduced and chronologically collected in two heavy volumes inside a precision cut Slipcase. Red foil embossing on pale gray cloth. T has only been one printing. The item is in fantastic condition with a slight bit of shelfware to the slipcase (It sat, adored and loved, on a clean shelf in a smoke free, dust free home for fifteen years). A piece of magic history! Old ads for magic shops, tricks and for magicians themselves adorn the pages. Thoughts on tricks and the magic gossip of the day pour forth like it was written yesterday. As you page through these tomes you will absolutely feel like you've been transported to the golden age of magic. The set originally sold for either $125.00 of $150.00 (it was so long ago, I can't remember). A great buy and a fantastic investment.
