This very hard to find early American Prescut dish is not only in the rare Amber color, but rests on 3 attached legs or footed areas that makes this even more unique! Since we could not find a footed dish like this in the book that shows many other pieces, perhaps this could be a rare sample or specialty item!

What a nice solid vintage Anchor Hocking collectible item in the rare amber color! Early American Prescut (EAPC) Star of David pattern or Starburst pattern as some call it, was introduced in 1960- 1961 in the ANCHOR HOCKING GLASS CORPORATION catalog.

As stated on page 55 in the Collectible Glassware from 1940's 50's and 60's book by Gene Florence, some pieces were only made for a year or two and most pieces were discontinued by 1978, but the creamer, sugar, cruet, and shakers with plastic tops were made as late as 1997.

Colored wares are uncommon and were in colors of laser blue, avocado green, and some in amber. This pieces is not only in the amber color, but is also rare to find with the three feet under the bottom! (The formula for Anchors amberware was lost from what we were told by a few of their employees. The book does not even show a picture of these other colors or of this unique or unusual piece!
