HUGE antique/vintage trick padlock with key

I recently found this monstrous trick padlock at a local estate sale. It looks to be quite old and is not marked with any makers name that I can see. It has the original key which is in the configuration of the number 2. It appears to be in working order although I can't figure out how to unlock the hasp. I did figure out how to open the two doors on the front but didn't get any further than that. I can give the new owner instructions on how to open the doors if he/she would like them. It measures about 6.25 inches long by 4.5 inches wide. The key is about 3.25 inches long. It looks like there was some sort of repair done to the lock at the corners of the arch housing the clock face in the form of a little solder. I'm not sure what this accomplished as I can't see anything broken? Please feel free to ask any questions!
