Up for auction, an elegant, gorgeous and extremely sought after old vintage sterling silver clamper cuff bracelet. This bracelet was handcrafted in Taxco , Mexico by silversmith maestro, Alfredo Villasana, after 1948. Villasana, worked for William Sprattling and later Hector Aguilar. This is a very unique bracelet, designed in a beautiful classic art deco motif, very popular in Taxco long ago when it was made and now is back in vogue today. The design and craftsmanship of this bracelet is amazing, a true work of art. The hinge is tight and functions perfectly. The bracelet has a nice warm patina that only comes with age and wear, winning bidder may want to polish to taste. The bracelet is hallmarked, Taxco AV, conjoined and incised into the silver, Hecho En Mexico Sterling 925 Villasano Eagle 3 assay mark. The inside circumference is 6 1/2" (due to hinged design cuff can fit larger), width in front, a huge eyecatching 2 3/4", width in back 1 1/8". This lovely old sterling bracelet is highly collectible, very sought after, and of the highest quality, also very comfortable to wear. This is a rare opportunity to own a bracelet designed and handwrought by Alfredo Villasano.NOTE:.
