The Ultima Thule glassware range was designed
by the renowned Scandinavian designer Tapio Wirkkala
in 1968 as the serviceware for Finair. It was produced in
Finland by iittala (formerly Nuutajarvi Notsjo).

Crafted of fine crystal, this exquisite glass plate
literally sparkles with an an amazing ice like quality.
This gorgeous mold-blown plate looks as if it were hand carved from
glacial ice, with the iconic dripping bubble pattern to the underside.
The glass is beautifully textured with a dew drop like surface,
which is both visually appealing and wonderfully tactile.

The fabulous nature-inspired design remains just as appealing
today as when it was first produced. The timeless of this classic design
ensures this range perfectly suits any modernist styled home.

Tapio Wirkkala hand carved the original graphite
molds for this now legendary design.
