This is an Imperial era Luger P 08 holster made in 1911 that was reworked to the Police style holster sometime during the early 1920's for use by the Police all the way through the end of WWII, holster is marked inside the flap with the date of 1911 and the depot issue stamp BAX 1911, it is maker marked Munlenfeld & Co Barmen on the front under the flap. Holster is in very good condition with holes from where the front strap and buckle were removed for the Police style up strap and it looks like the original belt loops were replaced at one time also by the extra holes in that area. An nice example of an Imperial holster used during WWI then reworked prior to and used during WWII before being brought to the US as a GI souvenir.
