This auction is for a STUNNING SETH THOMAS ADAMANTINE mantel clock. The stencil on the bottom of the clock tells us the model is the APACHE and it was made in September of 1904. Clocks of this age and in this SUPERIOR condition come along only rarely. The case features a mottled black, green, and orange faux marble finish. For a clock approaching 103 years of age the finish has traveled the years well. T are no major nicks or scratches on this clock - t are some small nicks along the back edge of the top which are very hard to see. They are easier felt than seen. The corners of the case (usually the first places to get "dinged" are just perfect. . The remainder of the case is in excellent condition. The case is tight throughout . The CLASSIC incised designs on the lower front and surrounding the dial are as perfect as the day the clock left the factory. The clock measures 16 inches wide by 11 inches high by 7 inches deep. The faux marble columns on either side of the dial are tight and in excellent condition - they are original to this clock.The metal adornments (front and rear feet, column adornments, etc.) have not been sprayed with a clear coat. They have been run through an ultrasonic cleaner to remove the years of grundge and then replaced on the case. They display the original gilt finish. The original Seth Thomas label remains
