click onto photos to enlarge. AN INDIAN TULWAR TRIBES-MANS SWORD.c MID 19th.CENTURY. RE-BLADED AT SOME POINT IN THE PAST WITH AN EARLY 19th.CENT TO LATE 18th.CENT EUROPEAN HEAVY CAVALRY STRIGHT BLADE.

HILT: Traditional iron design with disc hilt and knucklebow, stubby slightly down-swept quillons.Overall brown age patina, some light traces of a nickel silver plating in places.

BLADE: Straight single edged with double fullers, no markings but of a type used by European Heavy Cavalry c1780-1820.Very good quality steel. Clean and smooth but with patches of dark age discolouration, would clean and improce nicely. Blade is rock tight in hilt.

Overall length 92.5cms-36.75ins, blade length 81.8cms-32.4ins.

Sold as sword only, no scabbard.( A lot of these were carried as " back swords")
