Injured Big Horn RAM Sheep Fetish~ZUNI~KENRIC LAIWAKETE Search

Up for auction is a superb SHEEP/RAM fetish carved by Zuni Pueblo artisan Kenric Laiwakete . He is in fine shape except for one small "injury". There are some tiny cracks in the surface right under the turquoise heartline on the right side. This probably happened as the artist was setting the inlay for the heartline. This can be seen in the close up photos of the heartline. We are not quite sure what this stone is. It may be a type of dolomite or "pakistani" marble. Very pretty colors and patterns in the stone!

SIZE: This ram measures about 2&1/2 inches long, is just about 1&1/4 inches high at the horns and about 3/4 of an inch wide also at the horns.

CONDITION: NEW Please note: As mentioned above, there are some tiny cracks on the right side. Please look at all the photos.

AUTHENTICITY: This is an authentic Native American hand-carved item and comes from the Zuni Pueblo in northern New Mexico (USA). This piece is initialed on the bottom by the artist "KL" and "Zuni".
