JACK DEMPSEY: 1932 PHILLIPS CARD, EX!!!!

JACK DEMPSEY was born in Colorado in 1895. He started out the year 1919 with five consecutive knockouts in the first round before becoming the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION with a victory over Jesse Willard. In the first round Dempsey knocked Willard down seven times and by the end of the third round it was over for Willard as he suffered a broken cheekbone, broken jaw, lost several teeth, and some broken ribs. He held his title for seven years. He was one of the top FIVE sports stars of AMERICAN during the 1920's.
