Clock runs silently without batteries or electricity - it runs on atmospheric pressure and temperture changes. The photos in this ad are of the actual clock being sold. This particular clock is a caliber 526-8 and was purchased by my parents in a jewelry store in Indiana in the late 1960's - the manufacture most likely occurred between 1967 and 1968. This particular clock does not bear the name Jaeger-LeCoultre - it is only identified as a LeCoultre. The serial number 319756. It has been in my possession for the past ~15 years but I'm not a collector and this piece should be in the possesssion of someone who will truly appreciate the uniqueness and beauty of it. This clock has absolutely no scratches on the glass or the brass finish. The only hint of tarnish is on the lever that locks and unlocks the pendulum. I have not had any work done on the clock as I have been unable to locate a company locally who specializes in antique clocks, much less these rare Swiss atomic clocks and I don't want to risk shipping it more than once. The Atmos Clock is a marvelous and fascinating timepiece; it's unique design and style commands attention from every angle.
