James Giles decorated Worcester saucer, c. 1770.

A fine & rare Worcester saucer, c. 1770, decorated in the London workshop of James Giles. Beautifully painted in the Meissen style with spiralling swags of flowers & insects, within a gilt dentil rim.
Underglaze crossed swords & number 9 within footrim.
Diameter- 5 1/8", 13cm.
Condition - Section broken out and reattached. Please see image for detail. Typical minor wear to the gilding. Otherwise in perfect condition.
