Japan Sakura PC6 Tanao Fancy Cancel w/Osaka N1B1 8/8/14

This auction is for a very fine used early postal card (Sakura PC6) issued on 1 April 1874. This postal card bears a Tanao Local Fancy cancel Also there is a receiving double circle cancel from Osaka on the reverse.The double circle is N1B1dated 8/8/14 (14 August 1875).The stamp is one sen, the rate for inter city mail. The stamp has the syllabic (No). The stamp inprint is etched on white unwatermarked wove paper. On the first page of the postal card there is a circular red chop - "delayed by river floods". Tanao is in Mikawa prefecture. The Tanao P.O. was opened in May, 1875 (8/5) and was later renamed Ohama in April, 1880.
