Japanese Antique Print UTAMARO CRANE CHILDREN Rare Woodblock ART

Up for your consideration is an old woodblock print, circa early to mid 19th century.
It is signed UTAMARO in Japanese characters.
On the back of the print, it bears a Utamaro signature in English script.
Utamaro was a highly regarded artist and is considered one of the best artist of the Ukiyo-e genre of woodblock prints.
This delightful print features (2) over-sized storks / cranes frolicking around a large bowl with adorable Chinese young children.
This EDO PERIOD print comes framed and ready to hang.
It could be adorable in a sophisticated child's nursery or any room really.
It is beautifully framed in a gold wood frame and has a gold edged mat.
The framing is quite fine and of great quality.
It looks much better in person than pictured.
This particular print appears to be quite rare.
An extensive internet search only revealed one other in circulation and that being the one held in the San Diego Art
Museum. /collections/Asia/item/1957.122
They date the print to 1810-1820.
The overall frame size is 16" high x 20 1/2" wide.
The area of the print inside the mat is approximately 8 1/2" x 13".
This item is sold AS-IS. The condition is wonderful and remarkable considering its age.
