Japanese WW2 Arisaka Rifle TYPE 30 BAYONET T99 T38 T30 Up for bid is this Japanese Type 30 bayonet in nice condition. This one is made by Hikari Seiki Seisakusho Arsenal, often referred to as Kokura or Tokyo Hourglass. The bayonet has a bright, fullered blade and hooked hand guard, The grip is a contoured, wraparound type, secured with recessed rivets, and with a flat birdshead pommel. Scabbard is the tube tipped variety. The pommel is marked with hiragana series mark and serial number, and with what looks like Tokyo's "To" inspection mark. This is a pretty nice bayonet for your rifle or collection. The blade is in excellent condition, with what appears to be only original factory sharpening on the top half of the edge. (Any brass toning seen on the blade in my photos is from the lighting. The blade is uniformly silver in color.) The wood grips are in good shape, with one minor crack on the edge. There is some browning of the blue on the pommel and quillion. Scabbard is dent and ding free. The lug release works as it should, and the blade is a good fit in the scabbard .
