A vintage Jefferson Swag and Brackets spooner in blue opalescence circa 1904. Edwards in his 5th Edition of the Standard Encyclopedia of Opalescent Glass shows this pattern on page 152 and lists the blue spooner at $100.00. If you're looking for a real bargain, consider this piece. As you can see from the photographs, the color is fantastic with even opalescent and the raised bracket design areas with the swag motif reflect light and give the look and feel of a very elegant opalescent glass piece with a striking appearance. Condition is as follows : Overall, the vase is in excellent condition for its age of about 103 years. No chips, cracks, hairlines, etc. One of the few opalescent pieces I have ever owned w I can spot only one interior glass bubble and a few straw marks. All of the brackets are mint. T is one soda ash mark pin head size. Two of the feet have minor flakes or dings which is typical for these footed pieces as they were shuffled around a table or whatever. I have photographed the spooner from the bottom so you can see how minor they are, but I want to be completely accurate in my description, so if your expecting a new piece of glass from Walmart, don't bid.
