Two items are included in this listing : Item 1 . This is an original and authentic, hand signed autograph by Tennessee native JOHN HENNINGER REAGAN (1818-1905), who called Palestine, Texas home. Reagan served as the Postmaster General for the Confederate States of America (CSA) during the Civil War. He also became an important political figure in Texas after the war. Reagan High School in Austin, Texas was named for him. Click for information about this famous Texan: /handbook/online/articles/RR/fre2.html The autograph is on the reverse of his 3.25 x 2-inch white personal card of introduction. His ink signature is located along the center of the card. Above the signature, he also penned " Very Respectfully ." Reagan's name and the word " TEXAS" are professionally printed on the front of the card in flowing script. This piece is absolutely guaranteed to be original and authentic. It was acquired from BRIAN & MARIA GREEN, INC. in Kernersville, North Carolina in 1998 and comes with the receipt from that transaction, as well as my own Certificate of Authenticity (COA). Item 2 . This is a nicely detailed photographic image of JOHN HENNINGER REAGAN that is printed on an original and authentic, 83-year-old page (Page 182) that has been carefully removed from TEXAS HEROES , a book by Katie Daffan that was published in Ennis, Texas
