John Maddock & Sons England Vitrified Blue Willow Oval Platter ca. 1896-1906

Antique "vitrified process" 9 3/4" by 6 3/4" in. oval porcelain platter in the Willow Pattern by John Maddock & Sons Ltd, England. The trademark on this item went into use in 1896. I would date this piece to about 1896-1906. Very heavy weight, this porcelain is similar to Ironstone. The Iconic willow transfer is excellent and presents with some flow blue character.
Condition: Very Fine. No chips, cracks, scratches or rough edges. The bottom of this platter presents with some superficial rust colored stains (see photos).
The bottom of the dish has some small rough spots that were part of the original firing process. Stray specks of blue attest to the early vintage. A lovely old piece with very little signs of use!
With early Maddock Lion Mark in blue. Also, impressed Maddock mark.
Weight, unpacked: 1 lb., 2.2 oz.
