John Quincy Adams Hall of Fame for Great Americans Medal, 1972 . Hall of Fame for Great Americans at New York University. Bronze, 76mm. By Evangelos Frudakis. Obverse : Portrait of John Quincy Adams, great American statesman that not only served as the sixth President of the United States but also as a diplomat, Senator and Congressional representative. Reverse : A tenacious and eloquent Quincy Adams orating. Struck by the Medallic Art Company, New York. Condition : A few small spots; ABOUT UNCIRCULATED. The Hall of Fame for Great Americans at New York University was establishedin 1900. Bronze portrait busts of the honorees were commissioned and placed in an open-aircolonnade, and starting in 1962 medals, struck by the Medallic Art Company, were issued to honor the inductees. The series was discontinued in 1975 with 94 medals having been issued.
