John Rogers Group of Statuary 'THE CHARITY PATIENT' for the Doctor's office

The Charity Patient

Plaster, Painted, Height 22 inches

Patented December 4, 1866

This senstive group was produced during the autumn of 1866.

It proved to be one of Roger's most popular works and was listed in all his catalogues.

Busily arranging his drugs for the day, an old physician stops to attend to a poor woman

who comes to ask for assistance for her sick baby. The mother looks beseechingly into his eyes for a cheering word.

The group has been repainted to its original beauty.
