Joseph "Joe" KnowlesListed WA State Artist Etching with Hand Colored Highlights of Indian Chief

Wonderful and RARE hand colored etching with actual painted highlights (not a painting) by well listed artist Joseph Edward “Joe” Knowles (b. 1869 d. 1942) I’ve seen etchings before in black and white by this artist but this one is RARE with hand colored highlights and guaranteed to be authentic by the artist himself. Overall the etching is clear and free from stains or damage other than normal tanning of paper around the edges from age and it’s housed in its original 19 th to early 20 th century wooden frame and covered over by glass which has protected the piece well over the many years. The subject matter doesn’t get any better than this!

Frame itself measures 10 inches tall x 8 ½ wide. Etching measures approximately 6 ½ tall x 5 inches wide.
