Morison The Heritage Press 1963 Read translations of Columbus's own words from his journal where he documents his discovery of America. Hardcover with Slipcase. The spine of the book is darkened. The book is in otherwise in very nice condition. No markings, tears, creases, or stains. Very clean and bright. Minimal wear to the book edges and corners. A little wear to the slipcase. No tears or integrity issues. A few black marks on the front and back. The paper is bubbled up a little on the back. Darkening around the edges of the opening. A few nicks and bumps to the slipcase edges, corners and spine. Includes the original "The Heritage Club Sandglass" monthly newsletter with information about the book plus a page from the The New Haven Register from 1992 with a homage to Columbus for the celebration of the Quincentennial, 500th anniversary of his famous voyage. This comprehensive work includes translations of selected documents from Columbus's life and four of his voyages. Includes over 65 black and white and colored drawings and extraordinary maps in use at the time. Please examine the photos. I will be happy to answer any questions.
