Up for auction is this vintage King Cleveland 605 Trombone . This trombone is an older student model that was made by the King Company, now part of the Conn-Selmer group, makers of brands like Bach and Conn. According to the serial number (259***), this unique trombone was manufactured sometime between 1940 - 1945.

The condition of the horn is good for its age. The lacquer is worn in a couple of places, and t are some minor dings on the throat of the bell section. The slide moves freely, but is slower in some areas. A small grease job would make the slide move even better, although it is quite usable as is. The tuning slide moves fine as well.

The mouthpiece looks perfect, and reads Vincent Bach 12 c.

The case seems to be in good condition for its age (I believe it is the original, as it has the King label on it), although one of the hinges is broken. But it latches just fine.
The sound of the horn is loud and smooth, as far as me blowing into it. This horn is open, and the sound is absolutely great.
