KMET 94.7 Jim Ladd Mighty Metal Hour Radio Vol. 2

with Jim Ladd 94.7 KMET!

Spring - 1983

This is one of the first shows aired on KMET when the Metal Hour program began in early 1983, which was later expanded to 2 hours and then due to the high ratings was ultimately expanded to 4 full hours of metal.

Back in the glory days of metal, there was a radio station in Southern California that ROCKED on Friday nites after 10pm. This is where it all started! "The Mighty Met" was the #1 station and if you were a metalhead, your weekend started with this show!

This is a one-of-a-kind 1 hour show that is only missing Jim's monologue at the beginning. Featuring: Judas Priest, Heaven, Motorhead, an EP version of Great White's "Stick it", Blue Cheer, Saxon, Y&T, EP version of Warrior's "Fighting for the Earth", Ozzy, Riot, and the first time that Loudness was aired in the states with their Japanese 1983 EP along with Jim's hilarious mispronunciations of Japanese names!

Re-live those memorable days before RAP CRAP music, before cd's, cell phones, internet... when our generation ruled the world.
