LAKOTA BISON LEATHER A or F STYLE MANDOLIN UKE STRAP n

BISON HIDE MANDOLIN/UKE STRAP

Handmade by members of the Lakota Sioux Nation

Lakota Leathers Musical Instrument straps are produced on the Pine Ridge Indian reservation in South Dakota, USA. Pine Ridge has the undesirable distinction of being the poorest county in the entire United States. The purchase of any Lakota Leathers strap not only gives you the ultimate quality, but helps provide income for a family on the reservation. All Lakota Leathers straps are crafted by members of the Lakota Sioux nation from their individual homes, using traditional techniques and indigenous Bison and Elk hides. Truly a 'cottage' industry, Lakota Leathers has no 'factory' other than living rooms and kitchen tables of the artists who make these wonderful straps. Each label accompanying the straps is signed by it's maker.
