The Lamont Clan 1235-1935. Seven Centuries of Clan History from Record Evidence. A hard-to-find book of a Scottish clan history. Written by Hector McKechnie. With 27 Pedigrees and 36 Plates. Includes an actual cloth tartan sample glued to one page with the caption “Lamont Tartan Ancient Colors” (shown in 11th photo above). First published in 1938, this is the 1984 reprint. Published by Scotpress, Morgantown, West Virginia. Hardcover, no dustjacket, approx. 6” x 8-1/4”, 602 pages. This is NOT a former library copy. Please read this description and review the close-up photos carefully. Cover has bumped, worn corners and some edge wear. Cover surfaces have some soil, faint gray spotting and a few small grime spots. NO spotting inside the book. Tartan fabric sample has a small white spot in the upper right corner and a bit of fraying around the edges. Blank page opposite the sample has a small green smudge and a rough spot which might be a little dried glue. Closed book’s page edges have some dirty smudges and a few small stains. Top of the closed book’s page edges has tiny overall spotting (similar to permanent dust). A previous owner’s name is written in ballpoint pen on the inside front cover. NO weird or musty odors.
