Here are 2 photos I purchased at auction several years age. I believe they are original and from about 1900. They are approximately 13 x 10". The left one is marked number 1057 and number 1015 on the right one. Both are marked Fiske in the lower right corners. They are lightly attached to the sleeve they are in that is marked Campbell Studios 538 Fifth Avenue New York and Newport RI on the cover. They have Silvering at the edges and some light wear but both are overall very nice. I am not a photo collector or do I have any real knowledge other than what I researched on these on the internet. See the pictures. I found the following out on the internet:"George Fiske was born October 22, 1835, in Amherst, New Hampshire, and raised on the family's farm. In 1858, at the age of 22, he moved west to Sacramento, California, where he worked as a banking clerk for his half-brother Thomas Fiske, of Thomas Fiske & Co. Located in the same building as the bank was the Vance & Weed Photographic Gallery, owned by Robert H. Vance and managed by Charles Leander Weed, the first photographer of Yosemite Valley. In the years following his move to California, it is likely that Fiske received a good amount of photographic training --though where and by whom is not certain --for in 1864 he surfaced as a freelance photographer in San Francisco.
