Outstanding, china (glazed porcelain), signed LENCI, circa 1930s, double-figurine of a slender young mother holding her young child in her lap, measuring 12 3/4" high. She is seated on a stone bench and gazing at the sweet child in her lap who is reaching out to touch a small bird. She has bare feet and her hands are outstretched (typical Lenci details). She wears a very lovely and colorfully patterned shawl over a long black dress and a yellow scarf is tied under her chin. T is an incised signature on the back of the stone bench (see photos) as well as the following signatures under the glaze on the base: LENCI/Made in Italy/Torino/17-6-933/No. XI. The entire figurine is in very good to excellent condition with no chips, hairlines* or damages. It appears (under black light only) that one or more fingers and possibly the tip of the tail on the bird have been touched up. These two possible repairs are not at all visible. The tiny black fleck on the back of the bench is just a brush mark under the glaze, the white areas are flash back from the camera. *Due to our oversight we are relisting this piece as we found a hairline around one foot w it meets her skirt-no glue visible. (Sorry, but we want our descriptions accurate and everyone to be happy with their purchases). Just a fabulous piece of Lenci, artist signed, porcelain and a great
