This is a stunning - large statue of Appolon. It holds a plate with this name to the base. Etched into the statue is the signature of Bruchon and France. Beautifully modelled Apollo is bearing the Olympic torch in his left hand and a Lyre in his right. The modelling is beautifully sharp, crisp and very dramatic.

Emile Brouchon was born in Paris in the 19th century and was a student of the famous Mathurin Moreau. A well known sculpture - his works can be found displayed in the magnificent four volumn reference series 'Abage Encyclopedia, Bronzes Sculptors and Founders 1800-1930 by Harold Berman'

APOLLON (or Apollo) was the great Olympian god of prophecyand oracles, healing, plague and disease, music, song and poetry, archery, and the protection of the young. He was depicted as a handsome, beardless youth with long hair and various attributes including:--a wreath and branch of laurel; bow and quiver; raven; and lyre.

A true work of art that looks fabulously dramatic on display

Measures approximately: 50cm tall x 17cm wide

I am unable to offer this overseas due to the weight.

I have no problem if a buyer would prefer to collect – rather than pay Royal Mail’s exorbitant prices. If unable to collect, please note I shall need

I would like buying to be as simple and straight forward as possible – so I have kept my terms and conditions simple and straightforward too

If you have a problem with anything that you buy from me, please let me know. I will do my best to resolve all issues as quickly and as amicably as possible.

I will do my utmost to accurately describe the condition of my articles so that you don't get any nasty surprises on receiving them.

Please pay within 3 days of purchase.

Firstly, may I apologise about the horrendous charges made by Royal Mail. Unfortunately I am unable to do anything about this but do feel frustrated with the rising costs. Because of this, I am leaning towards using COLLECT+ Courier Service. This service takes 3-5 working days and a far safer option.

I aim to post the next working day after payment has been received

Proof of postage is always obtained – although Royal Mail are trying to refuse issuing these when using pre-paid Ebay options – hence my reason for leaning towards using COLLECT+.

I do try to keep the cost of packaging down to a minimum and only add between 50p to £1 for the costs of packaging but this of course depends on the item. I will not risk items breaking for the sake of poor packaging. All items are well packed in quality materials – to ensure safe arrival.

Goods are sent at buyer’s risk - in the event of items lost or damaged in the post, I will supply proof of posting but cannot be held responsible for uninsured items. Please note that items will only be insured if they weigh more than 2kg and requested by the buyer. This will obviously add to the postage price

For overseas buyers: As long as a parcel is under the 2kg maximum weight, I am quite happy to ship overseas. I quote for Royal Mail (small packets) unless otherwise requested.

May I please ask that if you are not a serious buyer, please do not bid on my items. It’s not fair to others who really want them.

Finally ..... If you have any further queries, please get in touch.

Thank you
