This is a large Victorian silver pocket watch which runs strongly. The silver case is stamped Chester 1895 and the movement is signed JW Reeley & Son Manchester and London. With a bit of care the silver case will come up well. The glass is in a condition commensurate with age and usage, and the dial is chipped in the centre as can be seen in the pictures of the time-piece. The hinges are sound and the backplate carries minor bruising. The bow pin is ragged in appearance but does the job. The pocket watch has a diameter of 54mm and a depth of 22mm, and with a clean and polish you will have a good old example of 19th century workmanship. Well worth a bid.
