This listing is for an antique 66 foot W & LE Gurley surveyor chain, plumb bob and surveyor stakes. This is my dad's set of surveying equipment. He is 99 years old and decided I should sell these for him. He thought maybe he wouldn't need them anymore! The surveying chain has the usual rust on it and a few of the links are slightly bent. Unfortunately when my dad was painting his deck trim he got some of the paint on it (he didn't take the chain down before painting). The chain handles read "W & LE Gurley, Troy, NY" on one handle and on the other "66 FT Steel No. 12". Each link is about 7" long. The plumb bob appears to be brass and is harder to read the words. It has a 3 stamped on it and also "16 G.U. Kuker Seattle" (Some of those letters might not be right). It is 6" long with a screw off cap to change the string. It weighs about 16 ounces. Four of the stakes are 15" long with a 2" diameter loop. The other stake is 17" long with a 1" loop.Shipping: Actual cost from zip 83539. I never charge for packing.
