Legionary denarius of GALLIENUS

Silver denarius of Septimius Severus

Listed as 10265 in Sear's Roman Coins and their values, vol.3

This is part of the legionary series struck in AD 260-1 to honour the Praetorian Cohorts' victories over the usurpers Ingenuus and Regalian. All coins are weakly struck as they were issued from a temporary legionary base at Milan, commanded by Aureolus.

All coins are rarely offered.

I would judge the condition to be F-VF for series but make your own judgement from the photos.

Obverse: GALLIENVS AVG radiate head of emperor right
