It has a substantial chrome base and on/off chain switch with a decorative transparent plastic pull. The piece has a fun diner / malt shop vibe, with its two-tone ribbed glass shade and shiny chrome base, yet still adds a classy modern touch in a more contemporary setting. It is equipped with a built in electrical socket, but both the socket and the switch were cut from the main wires, probably bypassed during a previous installation. The shade measures 11 3/8 inches x 3 3/8 inches and is 3 1/8 inches thick. The mounting base is 4 1/2 inches in diameter, and the fixture sits approximately 6 1/2 inches from the wall. The light is in excellent cosmetic condition, showing no serious cosmetic flaws or signs of undue wear and tear. The chrome is shiny and free of blemishes or rust, and there are only a few fleabite chips on the mounting rim edge of the shade, which is completely hidden away in the mounting base when installed. ... read more
