Delightful Hand Painted Cup and Saucer from the Limbach factory in Thuringia, Germany, founded in 1772 by Gotthelf Greiner, worked after his death (1797) by his sons, trading as Gotthelf Freiner-Sohne. This is beautifully decorated with colourful flowers in pink, red, purple, yellow it has a a cobalt blue border with five lines of gold dashes. A very nice entwined handle also with gold decoration. It is well marked with crossed L's and a star, very similar to the Meissen Factory. Condition no nicks, hairlines or restoration. Very little gilding loss. Approx 12.3cm dia and cup approx 4.5cm tall. A lovely addition to any collection.
