If the auction winner wants I will upgrade the whistle circuits with two silicon 6A05 diodes while leaving the original copper ones in place. Or I will provide the diodes for the winner to install them. Silicon diodes tend to work better than the original copper oxide ones. This is a vintage Lionel 275 Watt ZW transformer. The model ZW has 4 variable outputs (A, B, C, D) and can power up to 4 trains independently. I have used this transformer on my layout and it is fully operational. The unit is clean inside and out with no cracks or chips in the case or bottom plate. There are some blemishes around the bottom plate screw holes and there is some fading on the handles. The nameplate emblem is original but slightly faded. A ll terminal posts are in good condition and tight. I have replaced the core with a refurbished core so the performance of this unit is top notch. This unit is very quiet and can run for hours and not even get warm. It has been tested for the following: All four outputs provide proper voltage and currents. All four rollers are round and the throttles operate smoothly. Circuit breaker is functional as well as red warning light. Two new bulbs are installed. Both whistle and reverse levers work correctly This auction is limited to the continental United States due to shipping cost.
