King of the Hill, The Grand-Daddy, The Big Boy -- these are just some of the many nicknames given to the ZWTransformer during the past 50+ years. Lionel's ZW produced the most power of any postwar transformer. Even today, the ZW is sought after by Lionel enthusiasts as it is a reliable and dependable transformer. Features Standard features of the ZW include: 275 watts. Four controls to run four independent trains. Directional controls (only for the two end controllers) Horn and whistle controller (only for the two end controllers). Circuit breaker. This is the more desirable (r) type revision ZW made late in the post war period. Riveted lamination and brown box, condition is excellent, no cracks or breaks to the casing, T are a few nicks on the casing w the handles hit the stoppers but besides that this bad boy is superb, nice original still supple rubber-coated power cord, clean inside and out. Rollers roll freely, lights light up and power runs smoothly and QUIETLY through it. This transformer is in excellent clean (stored away from light & other elements since 1960's in a dry closet) condition and ready to be hooked up on your layout.
