Lithophane Victorian LAMP " Catch a Falling Star " Antique Style First invented in France in 1827, a Lithophane is a porcelain engraving that virtually comes alive when illuminated from behind! A panel of different thickness of translucent, kiln-fired porcelain creates the image. A breathtakingly detailed picture in warm sepia tones emerges when lit. Most of our Night Light designs are available in either of our two "exclusive " lamps: ornate Victorian Stand or the elegant Mantle Stand. Both are offered in antique brass finish, and the Victorian Stand is also available in an enameled white finish.
