In case you didnt know, the very first time Superman had ever appeared in public form it was in June 1938 as themain character in DC Comic's ACTION COMICS #1 (Sound familiar? That comic book that just sold last month for over 2 Million Bucks...) Well just 1 year and 8 months after the release of Action Comics #1, the 2 creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster created an exclusive short comic book type spread in the pages of nationally publicized LOOK Magazine. The topic of the story was about how Superman would end the war (WWII) a war the USA was not yet involved in. They say that the Germans as well as Hitler had learned of this issue in circulation and they were not at all happy. The creator of Superman, a geeky Jewish boy Jerry Siegel and his red underwear, unbeatable hero Superman on this months LOOK mag depicts Superman kickin the crap out of Adolph and Stalin and bringing them in to the UN to be delt with. Is ther any signifigance that the USA shortly after would be at war with Germany? Hmmmm? The magazine if itwas a comic book would grade a solid 4.0 VG and chance of VG+ 4.5 depending upon who was grading it. Yes grading is subjective, but items like this magazine are surelyto be on the want list of many and condition is secondary to signifigance with this one all the way. this book ships in a box
