A terrific antique English, gilt yellow metal orb shaped vinaigrette pomander locket / fob/ charm; delicately made, with pierced top half and hingeing open to reveal a removable pierced gilt grille retaining a perfumed sponge.

High quality, totally original - immensely wearable and very collectable!

CONDITION : All original and very good. Slight signs of wear/denting commensurate with age and use.

DATE/MARKS : Around 1820/40. Not marked.

DIMENSIONS : 19 mm diameter (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.

WEIGHT : Approx. 5.5 grams.
