Lovely Hallmarked 1/2 Pt. Glass & Pigskin Pocket Flask

This lovely pocket flask dates to around the turn of the century or so.

It was an auction purchase from the estate of a prominent Massachusetts family.

The flask, in very nice condition, measures 6 inches high and 3+3/4 inches across, 1+1/4 inches thick, substantial and sturdy, very well made.

The top has a hinged bayonet cap, that is cork lined and closes and locks with a twist of the cap.

The capacity of this flask is 3/8 ths of a pint.

The top half of this glass flask is covered with pigskin leather. T is a peep hole on each side of this leather covering so you can see the level remaining of your spirits!

The bottom part slides off to become the cup from which to drink.

The glass on this is very high quality, almost seems like crystal.

T are a number of hallmarks on the cap and on the bottom of the slide off cup.

The inside of the cup is gold washed, this is not a low quality flask.

I do not know if this is silver and plate, so I will say silver plate, and if it is silver, it is your bonus! Even as plate, this is superb craftsmanship.

I have photographed all the hallmarks for you to see, it is not American, as best I as can tell.

A great flask for your collection, and can be used as intended.
