On offer is a lovely little 19th-century map of Italy, measuring 27cm by 23cm (9in by 11in), originally published in London in 1821. The single-page map was engraved for London bookmaker John Souter and published in "Clark's New School Maps." It is steel-engraved, with some hand-coloring in the outlines, and is fair shape for its age -- with only minor smudging and chipping in the borders. It has been reinforced along the center-fold, and is printed on heavy stock.

This is an original, nearly 180-year-old document. It is not a modern reproduction.

I have a number of other pages from this atlas currently on offer. To see them, click .
