DESCRIPTION: This is a great old large size pocket or purse advertising mirror. It depicts an early 1900s lumber delivery truck, possibly a Mack, Federal, or White with a chain or belt drive. On the truck, it says “Fidel Ganahl Lbr. Co.” and “Fidel Ganahl Lumber Co.” It says “Pioneers in Delivering Lumber by Motor Trucks” on the building. It is also marked “One of seven trucks with our patented lumber roller system” and “3323 So. Broadway St. Louis”. On the edge, it is marked “The Whitehead & Hoag Co. Newark N.J.” (manufacturer of the mirror). MATERIALS: Celluloid on metal with glass mirror back DIMENSIONS: Measures about 3-7/8 inches in diameter, and is about 5/16 inch thick. CONDITION: Overall in GOOD, USED CONDITION with light wear to the celluloid, such as thin scratches, scuffs, and scrapes. You have to hold it at an angle in the light to see the wear. The is in good shape for a 100-year-old piece of glass with a few scattered speckles/spots or miniscule chips. There is some paint chipping to the black mirror frame. This is a neat old advertising mirror!
