You never know what will turn up in a junk sale! is a RARE M3 Infrared 20,000 volt Sniperscope for the M1 Carbine in great shape. The telescope was built on June 23, 1951 for use in the Korean War.Marked on the telescope data plate: CORPS OF ENGINEERS U.S. ARMY TELESCOPE SNIPERSCOPE, INFRARED, 20,000 VOLTS AMERICAN OPTICAL CO. BUFFALO, N.Y. P.O. NO. 27-43200-03 DATED 6-23-51 SERIAL NO. M3. 9117.51 STOCK LIST NO. 18-8416.500-200The infrared light has a similar dataplate. The plates are bold and very clear as seen in the photos. See Pictures. We can send additional pictures on request. Condition : The scope is in very good to excellent condition as far as appearance goes. Everything that is for sale is shown in the photos, the case, batteries and other cables are not present. All hardware is in great shape and the overall finish is in excellent condition. It is slightly dusty from sitting around for a while in the basement. The metal retains original finish and has little to no wear. The lenses are free of chips of cracks as far as I can tell. I do not have the entire unit, so I cannot tell if the sight works.
